Are there volunteering opportunities?

Absolutely! We love our volunteers and couldn't run the festival without you. We have an expression of interest and we will be in contact, just follow the link below. Please note: to ensure we don't get "no-shows," all volunteers must purchase a standard ticket upfront. Your ticket price will be fully refunded immediately after the event upon the successful completion of your volunteer shifts.

What amenities will be provided?

We want you to stay comfortable over the three days. The festival site will feature fully serviced toilets and showers accessible to all ticket holders throughout the weekend.

Question 3

What will be served at the Walsh River Community Centre kitchen?

Accepted Answer

The full menu will be dropped closer to the festival date. However, you can expect hearty, delicious options like hot soups, fresh wraps, and a variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Best of all, 100% of the proceeds from the kitchen go directly toward supporting the community centre and maintaining their beautiful grounds.

What should I bring?

Prepare for a classic Far North Queensland bush environment. Your absolute essential checklist includes:A reusable water bottle (free, endless filtered water stations are available on-site).A hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.Warm layers for the night and cool, breathable clothes for the day.If you aren't planning to eat at the community kitchen, bring enough ice and food to last you all three days.Your complete camping setup (tent, bedding, and sleeping gear).

Will I get a refund if I can no longer make it?

All tickets are strictly non-refundable. However, if you experience severe, unforeseen circumstances that prevent you from attending, please email us before the festival kicks off. While we cannot guarantee a refund, we will evaluate genuine emergencies on a case-by-case basis. If your plans change, we highly recommend reselling your ticket privately.

How can I resell my ticket?

We do not host an official ticket resale platform, so all sales must be managed privately at your own discretion. Berlin Calling takes no responsibility for private financial transactions. However, to ensure the new owner can get through the gate, you must email us at connect@berlincalling.com.au with the original order details and the full name/email of the new ticket holder so we can officially update the gate list.

Will there be first aid and security on-site?

Yes, your safety is our absolute priority. We employ fully qualified, professional first aid medics and licensed security personnel who will be stationed clearly throughout the venue 24/7. If you ever feel unwell, unsafe, or lost, please approach them directly or find any member of the Berlin Calling crew wearing staff shirts. We are here to look after you.

Will there be mobile phone reception at the venue?

Mobile reception is extremely limited at the grounds. However, there is a designated hotspot at the community centre where Telstra users can pick up a stable signal. If you are with Optus, Vodafone, or another network, expect to be completely offline for the weekend. Enjoy the digital detox!

Do I need to print my ticket out before I arrive?

Accepted Answer

No need to waste paper! You do not need a printed physical ticket to get through the gate. As long as you have the ticket file or email downloaded directly onto your smartphone, our scanners will be able to read the barcode.Crucial Tip: Because mobile reception is spotty on-site, make sure you download the ticket PDF to your phone files or take a clear screenshot of your barcode before you leave Cairns or turn off the highway. Do not rely on opening your email app at the festival gate!
